Dr Akash Shah is a medical doctor whose academic training spans clinical medicine, hospital administration and medical law and ethics. This combination led him to questions that often sit beyond the boundaries of any single discipline: how patient rights are understood in practice, how professionals can meet legal duties without losing sight of clinical realities, how institutions can build humane systems and how difficult decisions can be communicated with honesty.

Ethos Veritas Medica emerged from the recognition that many healthcare disagreements do not begin with deliberate wrongdoing. More often, they grow from incomplete understanding, unclear communication, inadequate documentation or a failure to consider the same event from more than one perspective.

His work therefore brings together education, writing, research and professional guidance. It is directed towards patients and families seeking clearer understanding, healthcare professionals navigating ethical and legal responsibilities, and institutions seeking systems worthy of public trust.

EVM is being developed as a long-term body of work rather than a short-term content project. Its future includes books, educational resources, professional training and carefully defined advisory work—each connected to the same purpose expressed in its Charter.
